Marzocchi xc600 forks losing pressure, cause?

Re:

I have XC700's that I put on my Zaskar when they were just released, they are really good forks, maybe a little unsophisticated in comparison to the modern offerings, but more than capable of keeping everything under control up front.

If that price includes new seals and oil, then it's worth going for.

I did mine myself, but I have been tinkering with bikes, motorbikes and cars for donkeys years.

Yeah the guy said that price was for a complete service, I know a few people who highly recommend him as well which helps with peace of mind.

I've done a fair bit of tinkering with bikes over the years and built a BMX from scratch but that was about 10 years ago.

Re:

Worth doing then, as I think a complete set of seals, spring clips and bushes cost me €45, plus the oil, plus my time.

Re:

Hi,

The blog 'marzocchi workshop' is mine... Air pressure loss will be the air plug (core or o-ring) or main oil seal (wet stanchions) or the conic seal ( on the inline adjuster).

The good news the service kit is still available so the xc600 is still a decent serviceable unit, not bad for an almost 20yr old fork!

Re:

Nothing to do with the leak, but suggest a compressor is overkill - pump would be more accurate and controlled
