I'm planning on refurbing some Marzocchi forks as they're in a bit of a sorry state. I'm planning on changing the colour so that they're close to Bomber orange.
Option 1 is to do them at home. This might be quite rewarding if the finish comes out quite good. But might not be a cost effective option when time and cost of materials has been factor in, and the cheap rattle can may not be hard-wearing.
Option 2 is to get a paint shop to do it. This will guarantee I get a good finish and it should be durable.
What have others done? What have been the failures and successes of painting at home?
