Hi.when rebuilding my am forks do I lubricate everything with just the fork oil or do I use grease as well?
If I do use grease,how much and what sort?

Grease the upper seals and wipers, the oil bath will take care of the rest.

Avoid all greases with petroleum base oils as they will damage the seals and make them go sticky. Red rubber grease is the right stuff (vegetable based I think) , various people make it. You will also notice bike brands selling grease as suspension grease will often have a red tinge to them them.

Hi.thanks for the replies.I've got the fork back together and one of the top caps(the one with the valve in the middle)is leaking and needs a new o ring.could someone please tell me the size and where to get a replacement from.

pics would help - but you can get packs of assorted oring sizes form hardware/plumbers merchants. i got a big old box off ebay ages ago for £5 or so and its still doing well by me now
