I've always thought there must be so many old bikes in France, Begium, Italy that they're practically "worthless".

The French don't tend to put a lot of value on second hand articles, unless they are really old or have four legs and a tail. They will spend tens of thousands of euros keeping old dogs and cats alive who would most definitely prefer to be dead!

I'd say bikes and parts are about half what you could expect to pay in the UK market
