Bikes shall be bought as frame only, wheels shall not match, tyres will be 2.1 minimum and 2.4 max. Forks will be as longer travel as available and if needed you will run triple clamps to achieve this. Discs are permitted, if frame does not accommodate this a magura or v brake will be used on the rear. Full suspension shall be horst, fake horst or single pivot only. Saddles shall be as low as possible unless riding xc, when they shall be as high as possible.
Jeans are permitted with suitable bike related t-shirt (Note, t shirt must not match bike manufacturer). Fox racing Jerseys are permitted if suitably baggy.
This sounds like DressCode2000 not the 95 of my nostalgia
 
I can't claim any pants, but I've got some socks from 1983.
I've worn them many times biking.
Back then I had a carlton 5 speed, chromed Rims, slippery as an eel.

It probably takes 5 years or so to change bike wear fashion
