MacRetro chat and rides thread

looking good rado- what did you pay for that bad boy then?

can you not just pull the wire thru and swap them over rather than have to take the tape off?

love the pics Mr P- uber cool.

That actually may work, just outer cable attached to front brake is pretty short. £999 at wiggle seems to be a good value for 105 groupset full carbon bike. Well apart cranks and calipers which are FSA.

Mmmm, lovely Radek, seems like a good deal too. Will you commute on it, or keep it for fun rides?

I'm waiting for the works next bike to work scheme, although if I was buying today, I'd probably get a CX and a spare set of wheels and slicks for the road.

Nice one Rado! :D Let us know when your up for a ride. You'll probably have to untape BTW the outers will be different lengths, but you should be able to retape with the tape you have on. Just remove down to the levers.

Trail centre night ride! Is this something that folks would consider trying?

So as incongruous as it seems the 35th anniversary of the repack ride is on the 21 of October. Quite why a nightride at Glentress or such would seem approriate I have no idea, but is anyone up for it? Its a Friday and its as good a date as any!

Nice bike Radek  You must really fly along on that :D
Now you're a dedicated roadie ,i must recommend Al Gow out at Campsie glen for truing your wheels.I think its only 4 quid per wheel and is on one of the glasgow known roadie routes/runs
