I could have got 2.5's in easily but 2.4's are great :(

welcome to my world    still looking for something bigger than a 3.0 with nobblies as the 3.7 surley is a bit flat looking :D

 I've heard that steering them is a fooker, any knoblier and you'd need popeye forearms

Just back from a weekend In Aviemore, 3rd time this year and I've still no biked it  did get for a run up the trails but its no the same. I saw some of the CX chappies and they did look a wee bit pro tbh

Shame on you Kaiser, only been to Aviemore twice and biked both times, admittedly once on a Dawes Galaxy tourer but I did get it over a pass on rough single track

Me thinks we will not embrace the CX madness this year but SS is practically CX as you cannot physically ride a one geared bike all the time, some pushing, shouldering has to occur

I just hope we keep hitting the trails on our old bikes frequently as we have so far done

The trip did give me an idea for the bothy trip. Theres a long distance path called the strathspey way and obviously a bounty of off roading in the area. I'm collecting info at the moment but I think Aviemore is easy reached by train form both edinburger and weegie. I'll tout a bit more at the AGM :)

was beginning to polish up an aluminium frame

here's a little spot on the frame - is this getting there?

is the surface meant to be super smooth when you're done?

looks good jim, should be super shiny but as for how smooth will depend on the grades of scourer you use and how long you go at it.

well good to know i'm on the way. after a finish like on your beautiful killerV.

started off with a fine wire wool and then a finer wool. will probably continue with the finer one now as i want is super smooth and shiny.
