And for the record this is the 4th GT I've got and I wouldn't say I was particularly a fan. This next one I'm maybe getting is one I've liked for a while though.

I'd love to blame you but I had an old ally frame lying about.

Anybody else got any mad projects in the pipeline for winter man cave fun ?
For the Rockhopper - leaning towards single speed roadie with slicks and a set of them weirdo bars. Stumpy will go trad retro with period XT - I think it's too nice a ride to limit it as a single speed.

Still want to strip and polish my 2008 Avalanche frame and then get that up and running. Use the disc brakes off the Hardrock, and revert back to cantis there. Will need to buy some new forks, not sure whether to splash on a decent set with 140mm travel for the iDrivel or some lightweight jobbies for the Avalanche.

Not particulary mad I suppose. Well apart from going back to cantis.

I'm really just targeting getting the Unit running, I'm really looking forward to this, probably more than anything I've got in the works. I've choosen rims and forks kinda swithering on brakes need to see if the big 2.4 tyres'll fit and get it together :D . Parts are a wee bit of a problem but not too much. Forks are problematic, waiting for the new Salsas to hit these shores. If the 2.4's X 29 work as suggested a Fat bike may be off the cards, the foot print from these puppies is ideal snow and beach equipment.
