macbams has a certain ring to it
had a very eventful ride out today- shakedown of the clockwork as it looks like the bike for keilder. I was only 10 min in, gingerly crossing a wooden plank, over a boggy burn and I unceremoniously fell over- landed on my arse- soaked up one full leg and bum cheek and covered in rotting gunk
rode on looking like the creature from the black lagoon only to be chastised by some walkers about riding the paths and the danger that presents to there tiny rat/dog creature :evil:
Then it started pissing down
I was tempted to poodle back home as I had forgotten to take my over-shoes but figured as they soak and increase in weight, the training would become more intense!
To be fair it did stop raining again 30mins later and I did find some nice trails and did get some miles in albeit canti brakes needed fettling and did finish the day with 3 thorns in my rear tire so a bit of practice changing the inner was achieved.
Good day/bad day but now sure of one thing- next week is going to be painful :twisted:
anyone else get out and have some exciting tales to tell?

No riding for me. Still at work, been here since just after six this morning, just a few more hours to go. Got Goat fettling to do when I get home and then ready the Cotic/lights as I'm Thruntoneering on Tuesday but busy again 2mrw.
Strangly looking forward to Saturday now :?

Mines complete tbh the as yo was prob the wrong bike for this ride. Would love to bring the splatter but need to keep the retro end up.
