MacRetro chat and rides thread

Oh mighty and knowledgeable West Coast Massive, recommend me someone who can lace a new hub to a wheel that doesn't have a 2 week waiting list - Ideally near enough to Erskine that I can pop out at lunchtime, or somewhere in Glasgow city centre that I can stop in at on way in/way home from work.

(Bloody Bontrager cartridge front hub, didn't even last 4 months :x )

Bikes by John in Johnstone (Church street i think), built the wheels for my Klunker, very reasonable and quick service, has some retro bits and bobs knocking around too :)

Anyone got any nice skinny steel one inch quill stems around 130-140mm going spare? Anyone bringing a box of bartering goods along on Saturday?

Si

started to think about how the univega will look here she is so far- not sure about the stem but really love the frame.

Bless, there she is, looking gorgeous, I hope you covered her ears when she was accused of having bent chain stays!

I'm not overly keen on the stem though, it is a bit too sit up and beg.

Looking forward to more build in progress pics and hearing about the first jolly good thrashing you give it!

Ta ta!

(Oh, if anyone ever comes across one in 17" flavour with Tange forks, let me know, I want another one that fits this time.)
