Actually ok in practice as can adj preload with screwdriver if need be.

Nope - black. Skinny plastic adjustment spindle thingy which sits inside the fork leg top cap and engages with adjuster screwy mechanism. Can still adjust the thing with lolly stick or whatever, but I have an 'ole in the top cap where this component would otherwise sit, so wet rain can get in. :shock:
Can always fabricate a suitably sized bung as temp solution to that :roll:
