MacRetro chat and rides thread

Jamie, if your prepared to come all the way to the pentlands for a ride then Brit steel is not a must. Bring your oldest Spesh then the technology would be similar at least

Be good to see you too David, AKA The Ken.

ZigZag, yes the velomobile was in the lowest carpark, easiest for the AA to spot when it breaks down  Shame I didn't know you were there, on weekends where an organised run is not happening give me and DaveDH a shout. As a result of surviving the black I really attacked the blue descent, charging all the way non stop flat out, what a buzz, actually used the berms in electric blue to carry speed into corners sans brakes

Finally, Yes Dave you are correct, The Black is for the most part just old school XC but in dire need of a resurface. The climbs can be fierce some of which are not worth repeating and all the really technical stuff is on the last bit after redemption that I did not do this time. Personally if weather and time permits I'll use the black to reach the top of Spooky from now on, its a nice if long ride.

Cheers All

Jamie, reckon that'll be oooooh 10X over my budget  looking for a rough frame but made of something nice 531 or summat.

Kaiser,

I have that Claude Butler I think it is 531 - the forks definately are, the brakes fit 700c and 27, frame, forks, headset, brakes and mudguards:) 10 plus postage/pick-up. got a nice head badge too. I think it would look great in white.

Dr S do you want that Brooks before I advertise it generally? photo links a page or 2 back.

I'm going to be at Glentress area this weekend :D

First time for about 4 years.

I'm only going to be able to take one bike for three days riding so I won't be taking a retro

I'd love to take two bikes so I could give a retro or my SS a whirl around but it looks like it's not to be this weekend

Anybody else be about?

I could be available.
Only ever been to G.T twice and not seen much of it and not been higher than the freeride park.
Would be nice to see the place with somebody who knows it (and is patient of a slow guy  )

Anyone else free??
