Re:

Can anyone suggest somewhere that can make me a stem?
Steel I'm guessing.
Anyone had one made? Cost?

Re:

Just had a look at Kinetic cycles in Glasgow.
Not building them at the moment but he quotes £150.
Can see them being pretty labour intensive for what they are.
Like Rob asked, what you looking for that you can’t find?

Tell us more, dimensions, purpose etc

The stem is the component on a bicycle that connects the handlebars to the steerer tube of the bicycle fork

Thought you would have known that Rob

The old 1.56" 'Dale stems are a bugger to find in shorter lengths, or with a decent amount of rise, I had thought getting one made would be a relatively cost effective option compared to locating a suitable original stem.

Closest I can find is this 90mm 20 degree stem... https://www.tritoncycles.co.uk/componen ... tem-p17867

But I'd still like one shorter, and more rise.... Ideally.

Re:

Are you trying to say I have long arms?

I've ordered one of the 90mm/20° stems, I'll see how I get on with that.
It seems a custom stem is out of budget (it's more than I paid for the whole bike!).

Received an email the other day to say that the Halloween-X event has been cancelled due to Coronavirus restrictions :(

Bet you’re glad now. Pi$$ed down here for the last fortnight and blowing a proper gale this afternoon.

Re:

Yeah, so I'd arranged to do the "Deeside Dawdle" audax ride instead, but that was cancelled due to the shite weather too :(
Doing the ride next Saturday instead :)
So today was a good day to ride indoors on the trainer instead.
