MacRetro chat and rides thread

Re:

I had a rather nice Raleigh Dynatech racer at one point in the past I'll have you know Rob and I've always liked Dawes and steel Bianchi's and Lemond's from the 90's. None of those are obscure gate like bed ends

I have now voted !

That 1935 LH Brookes is a beauty. The front derailer is the sort of kit I love looking at on Dizraeli Gears.com.

Re:

Ow dear ow dear what have you done Danny Mac
If you get a chance to click on the latest offering from Mr MacAskill called "Drop & Roll" then DON'T.
It should be called "Crap & Cheesy" my/our hero who in my/our eye can do no wrong till now.
There should be a viewers discretion warning on it :(

You have been warned :?

But you're in it Rob!

tbf though, it must be quite hard to keep coming up with new ideas for videos especially when you have set such a high bar.

Re:

It's being proposed that Blairadam be used for the SXC race next year.
The guy who organised the XC races at Lochore has posted on TrailScotland asking for our views on this.
http://www.trailscotland.co.uk/forums/v ... 31#p105331

As you can see I'm not the only one who has voiced concerns that parts of trails will be trashed for just one day's racing.
Hopefully our concerns will be taken in to account when selecting trails to be used and whether or not they do work to parts of trails susceptible to damage to prevent those bits being unridable after the race day.
