Avids it is then ;)
If we had the wee Aussies opinion we'd maybe have a unanimous decision.

Nearly lost him today...

Nah, we won't need lights said he
Yes we will said I

Later really dark darkness ensued, a pattern on our recent rides

My light's not much good, let's take this descent, it's fast but safer than the boghole route said I
OK he said
You go first so I can see where you go said I

Off he went. Like a little Ozzie bullet down the fast freshly surfaced path where speeds can hit 30mph without too much problem.

Loud yell
Sloooow down!

He had found this new trail feature, complete with jutting out future spears

Then there was another just as we got up to speed again.

Not satisfied at this escape from death, just at the top of the steps his light failed. It looked like this :)

He left here about an hour ago...

My preferred choice of brake lever is Avid, not Islabike ;)
The best Avids for my little delicate hands are 1.9's, the later levers are nice but these are nice with V brakes but seem almost made for discs, well cable discs ;) like my BB5's and 7's . They work great.

Also guys please go over to the road bike section, I know, I know, but please go over and have a look at the RBotM and the PotM polls and pick your favourite and vote.
The RBotM especially as I have been trying hard to bring back the enthusiasm and interest in which it was once held. While its been a great month for entries as can be seen, it also needs people to get behind it by voting. I know not everyone here is into the retro road section or even agrees with it being here but the monthly comp used to get people enthused and discussing things, something I am trying to bring back. It was just dying or fading away and that's no good for anyone. So if your up for it just have a look and see what you like best ;) then vote.

Cheers
Jamie
