The only two bits of advice I got (from Shimano) when asking about STI fixing was a) don't and b) if you must, do as much of the work as you can inside a large clear food bag...... I found 5l pretty much spot on. Can get both hands, a couple or three tools and an exploded sti in there.

What's the best way to get the gear cable in .?
Building up the energy and motivation to try and re-assemble that pedal..
