Ok, many of us lust over the unobtainable e.g. Natasia Kinski circa 1985-88. But in bike terms it really isn't going to happen.

We've had 'dream bikes', we've had 'first bikes', we've even had 'Yeoman builds', but what is the bike that you own, love and ride (and hopefully, but not necessarily, it's retro)?

Here's mine, and as Stephen Stills would have it, "love the one you're with".

Same as my brother's commuter...... but you knew that ;) ..... I'm still waiting for miss Kinski
To be serious, I love the Groovy Bigwheel I'm using frequently at the moment, just had an ace weekend of riding hard in the Ardennes, my mate broke his MI-TECH (German custom Rohloff alloy rubbish) for the second time within a year  ..... Groovy still going strong though

My first P7 holds many miles and many memories and no matter what flash bit of kit Ive tarted up lately, its still my favourite.

love the one your with

Hi Ed
This is my choice out of the stable.
My 88 Stumpy

My oldest but most smiles per mile.

And good taste with Nastassja Kinski, mid eighties I had a giant framed poster of her from the movie cat people on my living room wall

Probably my Saracen Kili Flyer singlespeed  (recently upgraded to a massive 1" of RC35 travel as my wrists were starting to hurt on rutted descents on rigid)...

Totally agree

I have a 93 Hei Hei, I know there are better, rarer bikes out there but I brought it new back then so am emotionally attached to it!

Got to be this sack of crap for me, Had it for years now and it just keeps on going no matter how much i mis-treat it, I used to use it as a commuter and for 2 years it lived outside in all weathers and never once grumbled at me. Recently its going through a revival period and she's back in my good books as favourite. Ive thought about going modern for a better ride but it just takes all the abuse i throw at it so i don't think we will part

i love this bike. i could rebuild it tomorrow with ultrabling everywhere and it wouldnt look silly hanging off this frame, yet at the same time my utilitarian XT build doesnt feel like i'm not doing it justice...
