Mine is neither retro nor dream bike....but sure is a corker!

Bought in 1998 she has seen several builds and now wears some new modifications....

I will never part with this bike and to use P20's comment above

"til one of us dies..."

I owned one of these, although mine had a Bomber. I'm guessing those are repro decals because mine were a bit different. That was definitely one of the best bikes I ever owned; it may not have been the lightest, but the ride was buttery smooth -almost as if I was riding a couch on the trails. Imo-the best Konas were pre-2000 and they were really hitting their stide from 97-00.

purchased from Mike's Bikes, Cambridge, Oct '93.

Sold/ bought back 1997

Stolen 1998

Recovered 1999

Ridden, crashed, rebuilt, commuted, holiday'd, submerged, iced over and finally after some 45,000 to 60,000 miles, the frame/ UN72 BB is enjoying its current state:

And cant forget my 'new' 1974 Norman Fay - 'cos it 'aunted. Just done 30 miles on it today, bloody marvelous...

My Guyzer  I wanted this as soon as I first saw it posted on here and when Carl the serial bike tart bought it I knew he was bound to sell it sooner rather than later so I just had to wait

Its got different tyres now but nothing else has changed since this pic was taken :) its just such a nice bike to ride its very hard to walk past when choosing what bike to take out :)

Owned from new. Has worn many a different outfit, but am happy with how she looks now. Almost original again in fact, apart from the Mag21's.

Love her to bits

would loving the one you were with most recently count?

yesterday on my 85 fat chance...giving it some love before tearing it down and having the frame/fork stripped and painted.

Having had two months away from a singlespeed (I've been in Greece, where I have my '95 Kilauea) I'm really enjoying being back on my old blue thing again.
The only recent changes are the wheels and the saddle (I'm still on the look-out for some nicer forks too).

Best Proflex model circa 1997. Built it up as a 22lb race machine with 4 inches airsprung travel front and rear. This bike made me crazy to own one when they came to market. Lucky to get my hands one one later on.

ebay, £50. it gets ridden mostly in the winter on-road when everything else is tucked under a warm blanket. I've ridden it on several 100-mile rides too. The frame is twisted, the seat-tube scored, the headset knackered and the forks have a 1.5mm deep groove around 180 degrees of the steerer. I think it is great. Yes I know I paid too much money!

But it has one hell of a paint job!
