Agree completely!!

You don't buy a sub 4lb steel frame and then get surprised when it doesn't last :)
Great ride, just needs looking after. Originally the Blizzard was for the longer lasting needs. Just changed a bit last years with Blizzard being top end steel. Lightish, but still hardy. Still a great ride though! Weight is not all in the frame for sure.
 
How about this 1992 Raleigh Dynatech MT4 Frameset [NOS]

You can see it on the scales here at 3 lbs 11.7 oz

Forks came it at exactly 2 lbs with uncut steerer.

The complete bike weighs exactly 22.0 lbs as seen in the pic.

It's a real joy to ride too.

Unfortunately for the purpose of this thread, only the seatstays are steel !
It is a lovely ride though. :cool:
