What a bike!Provenence doesn't get much better than that.That makes for a very interesting read,especially Raleigh missing a trick re the MTB market!A few ruffled feathers there I reckon.

That is a very cool story. I had a lawwill fork and it needed work so sent it to mert to do as I heard nothing from risse. He was happy to take it on and did a great job and sent me a few extras to keep it going. Regret selling them, I just never found the right bike to put them on when I had them. Now on the other hand.....
Oh well.
Interesting that the raleigh maverick was born as a result of this. I always thought the maverick was a rubbish bike, shows what I know.
