Seeking some advice…
I picked up a frame this week from a couple in South Cumbria. The owner told me that she bought this Kona howler frame (as a bike) from Team Kona at the end of a season and that it was Tracy Moseley’s 4X bike. It has since been used by her in Glentress and the 7 Stanes. She thought it was around 2008/09 that she bought the bike.
I don’t doubt her story, she seemed very nice and had no reason to fib, also it was a bargain and I planned to buy it regardless. However, is there any way of determining if a frame is a team frame and who the rider might of been? It does not appear to have a serial number.
Also, does anyone have any pictures from the 2008 season that might include her bike, in part to see if she was riding one but also to show the spec as I am considering a replica build
The only slight problem is that it is a bit small for me so my wife may be getting a 4X / mini freeride bike!
I have attached the best picture I can find which is a 4X UCI race in Oceania in 2008, it’s not easy to tell quite what she is riding – although the paint job looks right
Any help appreciated.
