I’m hoping to get some advice on this one.
I bought this T-Max frame about a year ago and built it up. The paint was pretty ratty but the tri fade paint job is just awesome from a distance. It’s also an awesome bike to ride.
I rode it a bit over winter which in hindsight was a mistake and the surface rust started to get worse. Makes sense . But I want to know what I can do about it.
I’d hate to have to repaint the frame and lose the awesome fade paint job. But equally it’s the best riding bike I’ve ever had in the perfect size so the last thing I want to do is for the rust to spread and end up going through the BB shell.
What would you do? Interested to know.
Are there any frame painters in the uk that could replicate a Serotta fade?
Thanks in advance
