Kona Hot Serial Number List - update 14/11/24

Cross posting alert.

I'm toying with the idea of producing a weekly IG post of new editions to the list, should there be any in that given week. The post would contain a picture (not the SN) with a brief summary of what it is, calling out any oddities, differences or historical points of note.

The purpose of this approach is to increase awareness of these incredible bikes, and widen the net to capture new stories and knowledge, and broaden and strengthen our network of investigators.

Retrobike (and the offline spreadsheet) would remain the primary port of call for the lists.

What do you think? Your feedback is welcome.

Hey all - I'm new to this thread but wanted to drop in before I go and look at this bike on Wednesday. Not sure what's going on with the paint job and decals. Fair to say it's a '94 based on serial number? If anyone has any advice on things to look for (ie. cracks in certain places) it'd be greatly appreciated!

Excited to be rounding out my 90's Kona collection with a steel frame ('96 Kula and a '97 Hei Hei currently).

Cheers - Andrew

You've come to the right place! Hold on until the UK wakes up and I'm sure you'll get some good advice.

I really like the idea, especially that you want to show more of the history and special features of the bicycles.
