Kona Hot Serial Number List - update 14/11/24

Ok to redeem myself, I think I've unearthed TeT 725-19"- triangle cutout, fluted down tube, Colour: indescribable - it's gussied up as a Rock Lobster for some reason, and missing all other stickers so I'm not sure if it's been repainted too. It's not mine, and these aren't my pictures, maybe one day it'll be mine.

Blimey, what a state that's in. Still, only the third TET from the 700s.

TET 725 - 19" 1993 Grey? (resprayed) - Triangle cut-out Dropout. No original decals, re-badged as a Rock Lobster.

Thank you for clarifying the SN as well. Duly updated on the list:

H8A2 5608 - 17” 1998 in 1997 livery with Rasta Green and Yellow Flames, and 1998 Cable Routing – claimed to be a Demo frame. No Opposite Oval Downtube, which is a feature of the Hodaka built Hot – therefore possibly a ‘98 Explosif.

The paint scheme discussion on the Ku thread reminded me of this rather "unique" creation, which is apparently the original paint (not mine). I think it is a 16" Teesdale Hot S/N TET 799, so it is a new one for the list (although how do you describe it in the list?). I'm sure there can't be any others sporting this particular set of colours! Maybe this was a form of the "Camo" scheme that was mentioned in the price list (I've never seen a proper Camo Hot though).

Blimey....what to say? I've had a go:

TET 799 - 16" 1993 Orange frame with turquoise top tube pattern, green "cactus arms" design seat tube, white (or faded paint) undercarriage. Triangle cut-out Dropout. Original decals. Tange Ultrastrong Ribbed Downtube.

Lovely to see a sequential SN as well; we have 798 and 799 on file now, both 16".

Completely unique that's for sure - thank you for sharing!

Couple of updates:

The earliest known production Altitude Hot to date, no actual picture of the SN as yet, but it's reported as HT0101. Resprayed around 1998 with period correct decals and currently for sale.
