Kestrel MXZ

Owned from new since 1990? That's amazing. 😍 And great to see it still being used.

Would love to see some old pics and hear about some it it's history.

Those were proper pin up/poster/dream machines back in the early 90s! Very cool and special frameset. Hope you have still kept the rigid forks! ;)

Rigid forks are in the cabinet. I had a Bomber fork on it in the early 2000’s and didn’t like it. To heavy. Our riding is single track and I’ m just experimenting. I also have a Girvin flex stem but it doesn’t do much. Origonal wheels were WTB grease guard hubs on cut down road rims I had on a early 80’s Cannondale. A real pain to fix a flat so I swapped them out. Still have the front wheel. Rear went in the bin not knowing any better.

No old pics.

Thanks for the quick reply. Great you still have the original forks, but 100% riding fully rigid isn't is kindest on our ageing bodies. Shame you don't have any old pics, but this is quite normal sadly. I have no photographs of my first proper MTB from 1989, just memories...
