KCE components?

I have a set of bars marked with KCE decals but know nowt about them. They must date around 97 when i built up a bike but can't remember much from back then!
They are really light and seem decent bars.
Does anyone know if them made a 1 1/8" quill stem or a head?
Cheers

If my memory serves me correctly it was something like Kingfisher Components, and again if my memory serves me it was an in-house brand for one of the big cycle importers - maybe Madison.

I had a quill stem with their logo on. It was just a rebranded kalloy uno.

it was a good half a pound lighter than the steel one on my DB Sorrento. I think that was the market they were after with it - young'uns upgrading their cheap bikes and replacing hefty steel bits. Cost about £20 as I recall

All coming back to me now
Got it out of the bargain bin in the Karrimor factory shop in Clayton before the company sold out.
We got allsorts of kit there, prototypes etc. Was a great place to spend pocket money.
The bars are really light and have been great, if I could have found a matching stem I was going to reuse them on my build but was Karma'd some Marin bars and stem so the KCE ones will be stored for possible future project.
