nice project you have there.
what's the serial number?

Thank you, I think so too.

The bike is still in my homeland and these pics are taken by my good old mother who is not very good with phone cameras nor bikes. When I asked her to take picture of seatstays she sent me photo of saddle; I got only myself to blame for that one :)

Anyway, I am very excited about this bike and can barely wait to have it here where I can start working on it. It is going to be slow project cuz I want to do it right and I do not want to make any plans until I check the bike myself and confirm it's age through serial number.

Re:

one suggestion, I'd go back to cantilever brakes.
then you could use the whiptail guide at rear.
looks awfully lonely sticking out there unwanted. :)

Ofcourse, this bike is abomination when in this state...

I am planing to leav cranks and frame :) and probably FD if it is 737 (which it looks like but it is not quite identical).

That rear brake housing looks just awful when hanging like that...

Re: It is Brodie

Yes indeed, I agree they are quite nice!
I cannot wait to start working on it ;)

Re: It is Brodie

Finally!!

After 5 months of waiting the bike is here ready for project to start!
Paint is not in very good condition but there are not cracks and no dents and that makes me happy. After I have cleaned it I will know if it will get repaint but even if I do decide to do it it will not happen until I get a really good painter to do it. So touching up and new decals will happens soon. So far I am very happy with what I see especially considering how much I have paid for it all. It has XT FD and middleburn cranks and original seatpost clamp. It also has brazed stem by Salsa and really nice controltech seatpost. The fork and the bars are not appropriate and therefor will be left out of this project. Rear wheel was awful as was RD but front wheel is decent: Mavic 117 and, I think and hope, Hope hub. Can you guys confirm if it acctually is Hope hub?

Firstly I noticed that that tail whip on seat post is bit too much uppwards so I decided to bend it back. I will post photos of before and after so ppl that have brodie can help me decide if it is in right position.

It is also my size so it will stay and it will be ridden and built properly and slowly. I have made some plans but would appreciate your opinions; I am thinking of making it yellow with red decals and red anodized components or yellow with polished components. I am more keen to making it with polished components and afterwards if I find right place, to anodize everything and make it as in first suggestion.
