Surely you just go back to the pub where you only paid £11 - and support them - so you'll have somewhere to go after a ride.

When the £16 a round pub goes bust - which it will if everyone takes their own food and drink - you won't have the option to go there - simple.

And yes - inflation is being used to push up prices - or is it that the increase in prices is pushing up inflation?

The landlady took umbrage at our querying the cost and suggested we clear off elsewhere if we felt it was too expensive.
