Is this a Specialized stumpjumper?? Now with frame number

worth a shot, but at least try to get more info out of it first.
its all pointing toward not being as advertised, so best tread carefully - don't want the seller making it more difficult for you.

be polite as it may be a genuine mistake out of a lack of knowledge.
but build a case for yourself that'll make it an 'open and shut' one if needs be ;)
its a shame you've started to figure this out at this point :(

Yeah I'll not go in all guns blazing, did message him asking when/ why the paint and decals were removed so well see what reply I get.

Other than the seat stay brake guide it looks like a stumpy M2. Seat stay guide throws me off makes me think its something else.

Well it might be, I will get the serial number up as soon as possible and hope we can figure it out if it is or what it is from there.

I don't think that's a Stump. It has top tube cable routing, and a canti cable stop. Stumpies had a canti cable stop mounted on the seatpost bolt, not on the frame

It looks like another one of those generic Taiwanese aluminium frames, the sort of thing Merlin (the shop) and others used to sell.
