If only some British bike brands had chosen places for the names of their bikes. We could have had the Saracen Bognor, the Ridgeback Grimsby, and the very splendid Dawes Pratt's Bottom... On second thoughts...

Orange Sandwich sounds neither capable nor appetising.

Orange was the first British brand which sprung to mind when thinking of Marin. Not because of the place names but because of its following and I suppose the fact they were properly made in the UK.

Except most of them weren't, my Prestige was made in Taiwan, my Dynamo from the A-Pro factory in Taiwan too, though parts were specced in the UK.I think only the very very early frames & the box section ally frames were made in-house.
No doubt most of Marins lineup was far east made too.
