Installing Supercycles/DDG Disc brake adaptor - problem

I'm trying to install one of the above

It fits the frame really nicely. But when I come to install the brake caliper, there is a vertical post between the two mounting points that prevents the installation

I'm clearly doing something wrong - has anyone installed one successfully? If so, help please!

Is the "post" not a grub screw to adjust the angle of the mount? If there's no need for it to be there you could hack it off.

Brake Therapy

Only just seen this , there is a company in the states called brake therapy who make disc brake adapters for bike without frame tabs . it works on a similar principle to the one on this page , but it doesnt need a wider skewer , because the anchor that attaches to the caliper mounts on the inside of the frame and is machined to suite your hub .

I have a question...

Did you drill into the dropout to accommodate for the screw that keeps the plate in place at the dropout, anchoring it?

I am thinking about one of these adapters.

The grub screw thats causing the problem can be removed. A shorter one also comes with the original which you can use if the standards too long.
Its a nicely made adaptor, I think them rather smart.
