That’s a very kind offer Carl. The first thing that came to mind is a silver older style seatpost. Peachy has the frame and I know from experience it could be 26.8 or 27.0. Will text him.

I was going to say 26.8, as that’s what it came with. But then, that was like throwing a banana down a drainpipe!
just checked with a NOS DX 27mm.... perfect. No the DX post isn’t for sale

Had it been 26.8, it would have been a little easier, its simply a standard silver 27.0 Kalloy job, might degrade the build, but your welcome to it if any use...?

Got a bit distracted what with one thing and another. Was picking up eggs at neighbours as he was putting out a pile of scrap. Nestled amongst it was a large orange totally fused monster. He thought I was mad to take it but with a couple of hours cajoling and brushing..........

Needs a lot more work but as my frame is elsewhere what mOre can I do?

As for the frame, patience my friend will bring rewards...
The Argos 19 Grigio was too dark, the 18 English Silver too light... so I’ve mixed approximately 50% silver into the grey, which is as close as I’m going to get. Just the 2pack clear to go on now.
Argos believe the difference may be because they changed supplier a while back.
