I hope that the engineer could look at it more positively. Would it be better for that bike to be gathering dust unused in a corner until it gets binned, or would an engineer be charmed by the lengths people went to make it useful, comfortable, extend it's intended use, perhaps even love it?My life work feels immediately destroyed

Haha sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between love and abuse. Sometimes there is no difference.I see the "love" aspect, but I also see the "abuse" aspect too

They are in extremely high demand now, as they became rare because people were throwing them down mountains. It's nearly impossible to get one back to it's original state. Would it be that difficult to find a proper set of bars for the cervelo?Namely strong, in abundance and largely out of fashion. They were put to good use again.
