Imlach's Sweaty Hippie Funk Collection, adventure bikes, rusty rats, cruisers and other alt bastardisations of bicyclery

I should perhaps clarify that I think Matti is right but I also think that bike was godawful ugly.

But yes, ultimately a bike used is a bike saved. Saved for a lifelong molestation session :)

They are in extremely high demand now, as they became rare because people were throwing them down mountains. It's nearly impossible to get one back to it's original state. Would it be that difficult to find a proper set of bars for the cervelo?View attachment 719071
engineer who made this.
**** yer, this is proper strong, I've added so much weight because who cares and it should survive riding some of the really harsh roads we've got around here.

If we're getting angry at people for modifying bikes beyond their intended purpose, can we call the Repack gang on the carpet for what they did to all those beautiful pre war Schwinns?

Remember how we got here, folks. By ruining bikes.

rider who did this, dude, I could chuck this thing down a hill and it would still work.

I actually had a nightmare over this last night.

I dreamt I was the Cervelo design and production engineer. A zillion hours spent studying mechanical engineering, researching materials, shapes, production technics, making budgets and renting hours in aerospace wind tunnels, engaging with top athletes for feedback, doing stress tests with all the latest electronic measurement transducers and being there when a great olympic time trailist rode it to victory.

Then I see it on the street. I wonder what the actual fcuk, how it could end up on LFGSS with people giving opinions how to make it "Rad, Sick and Far Out". My life work feels immediately destroyed.

designer who made this questa bici è squisita, la forma, il peso, il modo in cui va così perfettamente sulle tavole, ho raggiunto la perfezione nel mondo del ciclismo su pista, non ho altro da fare, morirò da uomo felice.

Translation

this bike is exquisite, the shape, the weight, the way it rides so perfectly on the boards, i have achieved perfection in the world of track cycling, i have nothing else to do, i will die a happy man.

hipster who made this, I like red and black, I wonder what this weird looking thing is like?

It's actually an interesting topic in itself. These specialist super bikes of yester year dropping to "almost" junk like pricing, and then how like @MattiThundrrr stated, something now to the point of extinction and undoubtably prices absolutely stratospheric.

@Imlach - I would guess 1 215 € in Denmark wouldn't buy a particularly good new bike today. Something mid level?
