cranks aren't too bad as most people dont have an extractor.

on a side note if you still have a clamp on the seat post clamping two long screwdrivers in the clamp can work. especially if you can hold the post in tension, as the constant applied tension works well.

also the id of a 31.6mm post is quite often 25.4mm so you can cut them flush with the frame, cut a slot the same as the frame and then fit a 25.4 mm post in the stuck frame.

Has anyone tried engineering bearing Freeze and release?

its basically liquid nitrogen spray that shrinks the part and introduces a releasing agent, designed to extract seized bearings and bushes out of housings without brute force

IMO Iif somethings rogered/stuck it should be disclosed on the item when advertized for sale

4 hours with a hacksaw here to get a jammed seat post out.

Got a blow torch on the BB in the end. Scorched the paint but BB unscrewed like it was only in there finger tight.

Had the same with a 'bargin' LTS-2000 frame (£50!).

BB stuck in there. Sold it to someone else for spares for £50 though.

8 hours in to the hacksaw blade method , so far used about 10 blades broke 2 screwdrivers 1 can of plusgas many cuts to my hands and still not got very far and my patiencehas finally gone and ended up taking the hammer to the frame in a rage !!! i feel well and truly pissed !! not so much of a bargain now !

What kind of condition is it in now?

If its still worth trying heres an idea. You need some way of applying force to the bottom of the piece of stuck post. Some kind of spring loaded expanding bolt* that can be attached to a length of threaded bar. Then you push it in through the post until it locks on to the bottom of the stuck piece. Then you can add a weight to the threaded bar with a nut on the end of the bar. You then slide the weight up and down so when it hits against the bolt on the top it pulls ut the stuck section of post. Does that make sense? If not I can draw a quick diagram. This is something you should be able to make quite easily I reckon. Maybe your local engineering company can help?

*or a star nut that is big enough to pop through the seat post but not too big that it grips the frame seat tube perhaps? Im trying to find a piccy of the type of bolt I have in mind. Its not the usual 'wallbolt' type.

Its still most probably rideable just a few dents on the down tube !! must say it seems a bloody strong frame i think i'll give this idea a go there can't be much post left in there now , thanks for the idea .
