If you had a CNC machine..?

Re:

Get ready to spend some money. My wife gave me a nice small lathe a few years ago... still haven’t used it yet because it needs $1000+++ worth of tooling to actually use it.

Some nice perches to install m900 pods on bars without the need for those crazy expensive Grafton ones..
Dont cheaper STX and LX perches fit M900 shifters?
It seems so.. Haven't been able to find a set yet, though..

This is where Ebay comes into it's own. But as ever you need to research so you don't end up with knackered or useless cutters and bits.

I keep meaning to make one of those multi axis tool mounts you get on metal lathes, so I can do small non ferrous turnings on my wood lathe. I think you can buy such, but I like making things.

Re:

I would build Paul Thumbies replicas. Their price is crazy for something unchanged for like 20 years. The only competition is some inferior copies made by JTek (sold in SJS cycles) and still cost 30 GBP. Can't be too hard to make for cheaper

Re:

Always a dream of mine- a proper little workshop with a little Colechester lathe and Bridgeport mill,a huge Cesterfield, wood burning stove, fridge for the beers, good sound system and plenty of space for bicycles and motorbikes,sigh.....

5 Bolt 94mm middle chainrings. Lots of cranks still out there running strong but fewer ring options.

WTB Dirt drop shifter mounts.

Funny, that’s literally the first thing I did. Mounted a pieces of wood in the metal lathe and made a mess. I do have a few wood lathes and the tool mount was an unstoppable urge to use it with wood. Not recommended unless you like cleaning
