All the Simpson helmets are illegal for road use in the UK.

Problems include poor visability, bad fit, high noise and the police will pull you

Nice looking helmets though.

Not true!

True!

True!

You need a Kitemark to be legal in the UK.

Never seen a Simpson with a kitemark!!

Photograpic proof could prove me wrong... and I don't mean a kitemark glued on

mines a cosy fit, and very well sealed, people have said...oooohh bet the wind noise is terrible is it?......er, no.

its the comfiest helmet i have ever worn, doesnt steam up as bad as any of my past ones either, its been used in severe rain before and was better than i expected.

strength wise, its designed for motor racing including drag cars etc, so you cant complain there.

i guess they are illegal on uk roads for the smaller than usual field of view?

when you wear it, i dont miss anything with mine :?

I agree with you, just that any Plod with a bit of Knowledge will pull you and give you a ticket.

Seen it many a time.

Have a look at the Roof helmets, pretty cool not a Simpson though ;)

Anyhoo, back on topic, how about one of these?

simpson helmets are legal in the uk.
i got stopped with a bandit on, and just as the smart arse plod wanted to give me a ticket i pointed out the e4 badge under the chinstrap meaning it conforms to eu road use regulations and unless i was mistaken britain was still in the eu therfore eu law applies. he made a call and promptly siad have a nice day sir and ride carefully.
so i gave him a cheery wave going past on my back wheel at 90 ( i made that bit up)
the older 80's bandits are illegal but contary to popular belief you dont need a kite mark (that just means it meets british standards) take a look at any car tyre none will have kite marks but they will be e4 stamped meaning they are european road legal. or we could pull every frenchie who drove off the ferry.... now thats an idea :D
