How much is my road bike (or parts of) worth?

Just got these Zipp 420 cranks in a job lot. I haven’t used them, but put pedals in to make sure the threaded sections aren’t loose. They look in good condition, but they don’t suit anything I am working on, so will sell.

So, what do you think the cranks alone are worth? 175mm long, Shimano Octalink fitting.

Thanks

1982 Raleigh Record and early 80s(?) Raleigh Scorpio

I hope I'm doing this right, I'm new here. I'm wondering how much to list these two for if I want to sell them in their current condition. The black Raleigh Record I have owned since 1987. I nicked it off my older brother, who had bought it new in about 82. Paid £90 for it apparently. The frame has some rust but I understand the original Campagnolo gear changers are worth "something".
I don't know a lot about the Scorpio having bought it on Ebay 20 years ago.

Where's the best place to list them - on the forum here? Thanks for any advice.

Unfortunately cosmetic condition is vital to make a decent old bike worth restoring.
Someone could have some fun with the Scorpio, if it was cheap, but the record is probably beyond Economic repair - there are more 80s bikes than people that want to own them unfortunately, and collectors focus on rarity and condition.

I'd suggest listing them together on ebay and see if someone wants to make something out of the pair.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. Do people buy them for spare parts? Or do folks only buy the parts if they're already stripped down?

You'd make the most money selling everything item by item, but get the job done quickest offering the pair to the highest bidder.
Your choice👍

If you clean up and research each item to get its correct name etc and give good clear description and arty photos, you'll get the highest price.

If you just say "2 rusty old bikes want them gone asap" you'll get the lowest!

We know this from experience 🙄

a mate was asking me roughly what this big old trek tourer might be worth. Way, way outside my area of expertise, can anyone help please?

it's very big - he is 6ft5 and that's his saddle height.

drivetrain parts look to be non original, budgety but usable quality, sora chainset, altus derailleur etc

With a serial number (under the bottom bracket) it is possible to find the model and year on this website: https://www.vintage-trek.com/ That will make it easier to find similar models for sale and compare prices.

It looks like an American made Trek tourer, these are valuable frames, I am not sure if the size makes it more or less valuable, though.
