How come I end up being the bad guy...

It’s a truly horrible situation. It’s really awful when people try to force an alternative reality onto you. Deeply unsettling.
It‘s very hard not to feel hemmed in by such madness. BUT their fixation on you will most likely be passed when they get fixed on the next person or incident.
That’s the thing I would focus on…these things have happened to me in the distant past and they have…passed.
For you too, there was a time when things were fine, and they will be fine again.

I too feel for you. I had f*****g appalling ( apparently human beings) for neighbours 20 odd years ago. I did infact move basically as a result of them......i just found no physical or mental piece in my life for 2 years from their moving in.

That being the case, unless your serious about moving, you need to think hard if a completely "fingers crossed/ gob shut" apology is not going to make life more liveable.

The moral high ground is available as an option.....but only to those who can afford the pricetag.

Does he not realise you're in an international bike gang!!!

Sorry he's doubling down on the king nob head position, it's a tough situation for sure and he sounds like a typical bellend bully.
Not sure I'm qualified to offer any other sensible solutions but just remember (what's good for the goose...) a phone is a very handy tool for recording voice/video if it's ever required (hopefully not!).

Being away from the house in some fresh air always helps me de-stress a bit.

Pre COVID
99.2 per cent of the population nice and/or reasonable
0.8 per cent dire trouble makers

post COVID
everyone feels ‘reasonable and justified’
BUT
Far fewer actually nice and/or reasonable
More dire troublemakers

Sigh

...when I ask the visitor next door to park their car just a teeny tiny bit better?

Was told to **** off and then they started going on about not being able to park their work van and so on and so fourth

If I got that kind of response for being polite about the sh!te parking I would be completely silent go back indoors, change into full DH pressure suit and full face and grab a Bmx and take a long run up for some tree argument practice right into that back rear quarter …. I reckon with enough pace it could be total write off … then I would drop them an invoice for bent bars and cracked full face … possibly a front wheel

What if the driver of the car was quite short? BMW bonnets tend to be quite long. Maybe the driver has bumped into a few things in the past and been moaned at by her Hubby and now plays it safe by leaving plenty of space in front when parking? And... after a bad day thinks she better not make it worse by crashing the car so left an extra large space in front?
