I will be using the ritchey p-29er and doing the short route, illness and no real riding lately means my fitness level is pants, so even the short route will be a challenge.

I apologise for the Gimp having 'got wood'. He will be thrashed for his insolence.

Re:

Just back from a 50k rehearsal. Conditions were really nice. Only a couple of really muddy sections.

Doing it on my genesis fortitude with 11 speed alfine was tough though.

Definitely need lower gears or bigger legs.

The Gimp has been released. I slipped him a large sausage before gorging myself on his pie and custard. Advice was also given as to not bending my G string with his long slender fingers. His inner thigh should recover from the dog bite well before the ride tomorrow.

Mrs HM is on standby with her marigolds and liniment for the post ride rub downs. Please form an orderly queue around the corner without obstructing the pavement.

Spare a thought as you ride past, about 100ft from my back doors. Really. I shall be elsewhere.

Re:

I've been released from said dog shaped man trap.

Now I've survived that trauma, the ride should be easy! Shouldn't it?

I'm still using 1.5 mud tyres for the ride. Hoping that proves wise

Mike

Re:

Your black sharks will be fine. I was on 35mm panaracer gravel king mud.

My only issue was gears/legs.
