It always amazes me how some people don't use mudguards in winter. I generally tend to have a rear Crud Guard fitted from about October through to April as a matter of course.
It can make the difference between sitting at the bar supping a pint at the end of a ride, and being asked to stay outside coated in several pounds of wet mud.
