No that is not serial - check left rear dropout - see pic of mine B (Feb) 9 (1949) 442

Definitely need to get the wheel off and clean it up. I can see it partially but it’s far from clear. Job for the weekend.

I can’t read the serial number clearly. I think I would need to remove the wheel and haven’t got my tools handy right now. Here’s the full bike though.

That is really nice, the fork detail is exquisite. In my opinion this can be brought back to a good standard with no need to repaint.

Beautiful bike! Will clean up nicely. A bit of nail polish/a car touch up paint will sort the paint damage and then its just a bit of spit and polish.
