Help wanted, which one to choose from these road tires

I know but I have 2 good sets of 13/14mm width Mavic clinchers I would like to get use out of. Been running 25mm schwalbe lugano 2s on one set but narrower tires at those rim widths would be more optimal?
People didn't worry so much about rim width to tyre size before the arrival of tubeless.
Think of those mavic 217s (17mm) with a 2.2 (60mm) tyre on.
You'd be fine with 28 easy.

It's only a problem at low pressure

👍 Roads can get bad here because of ground frost and during early spring lots of mud, sand and grit on the road so I might get one 28mm set and those Veloflexes for summer/sunday riding to see if they really are something.
Thanks.

I’ve used Vittoria Rubino Pros exclusively on one of my bikes for years and I’ve got nothing bad to say about them - they are fairly light (lighter than many more expensive tyres) but I’ve not found them to be prone to puncturing. I think you’d definitely notice the difference compared to cheaper ones, though as I say they are actually very good value compared to others.

Yes, agree with everything. I went from very cheap Michelins to Pros and was very surprised that not only could I detect the difference but how big a difference there was.
