Help: recommend framebuilder/repairer near Derby?

I'd like to fit singlespeed dropouts to my steel frame but don't really want to spend more than £40 or so (perhaps I'm too optimistic)... looked up Mercian and it's £95.

Anybody recommend anybody else in the Derby area that can do it? Doesn't have to be top flight - even if you can weld/braze yourself and I supply the dropouts it'll probably do.

Edison's in Clowne. Much cheaper than Mercian, and easily as good. Nicer to deal with, too!

Another vote for Edisons (my local shop, about 5 mins away)

Ex Carlton framebuilder and a really nice guy. The shop is tiny though Frame repairs are good value, refinshes are average in price as he has to farm them out.

He's on holiday at the moment, so don't expect a response for a few days.

My dad could probably bung em on for you in no time, metalworker/welder 30 years, man and boy................

I'll have a word with him.

And as my work takes me up and down the A50 most days, collect/drop is probably do-able too. All for Retrobike Karma.
