I recently acquired this Carlton frame, with a view to restoring it to its former glory but have been unable to identify which model it is, and what year it was built. One of the photos I´m posting shows the frame number, stamped on the rear, nearside drop-out, which I hope might help identify the year. It does have chromed head-lugs which - I think - are Nervex, and the seat-tube has, unfortunately, an unreadable transfer but there are no other clues to what type it might be so all attempts at helping me would be gratefully received. I can do with as much help as possible, in how to go about getting it transformed to its as close as possible original condition.
Although I am 75, I can still hold a spray-gun although it might shake a little and some of the paint might even hit the frame !
As you can probably tell, I need as much help as any of you can possibly offer....and hope I don´t slip this mortal coil before turning the pedals on my Carlton-whatever-type-it-is.
