Help needed! Any info on 1940/50’s Dawes bike...

Help needed!! My Dad is in his 70’s now but is desperate to try and find any images or further information about his first bike which his older brother bought for him, would have been early 1950’s.

The bike was a child’s bike and was a ‘Dawes Bud Emblem’ bike. I can’t find anything on the internet about this bike and Dawes themselves advised they have limited archives pre 1990’s due to changes in the company and cannot help.

Does anyone remember this bike or know where I could get hold of a picture of one or even further information on it?

Thank you for your response, I have followed the link and had a look through the Dawes entries and unfortunately can’t seem to see it there. I’ve checked the budgiers too but nothing there either.

Not going to give up though so if there’s anywhere else you can think of to check, please let me know. Thanks again.
