Just print it all out of some plastic or other materials on a 3D printer, light doesn't mean it has to be rideable. Forget pneumatic tyres too, a plastic domed rim will do, even if you have to prove you can do 1 mile on it.

Also have any of these parts been retro 1997- yet, if not get it out of here in into the modern claptrap or off topic.

I know. The point I'm trying to make is with frames that weight 775g you aren't going to build the lightest mtb with a 26 inch wheeled bike.

I think with 26" bikes are lighter, also with cantis / V's and not DISC

Magmaa Ti 26" canti fork at 570g actual. I sold these back in 2013, which I regret.

Looks good, but with a carbon fiber frame, it will be look better a carbon fiber fork

IMO the deciding factor is the frame. If goodyes decides on a 1998 or later frame, this topic will move to that section.

Seeing as the topic is merely about planning and researching and not actually showing a bike, or a build in progress, for now I'm moving it from Reader's MTBs to Retro MTB Chat.
