Help Identify this Holdsworth

Actually looks like a Carlton with those rear stays......... 60's Giro D'Italia "Victor" seat stay design. Number looks Carlton too ?

The guy supposedly bought it new from Holdsworth !

Re:

Not a Super Mistral: reasons -

* Super Mistral would have a full wrapover seatstay, not these fastback ones.
* Campagnolo forged dropouts.

A Super Mistral is quite easily identified (a quality frameset), and is basically a Holdsworth Pro' with mudguard eyes.

Rk.

Is the seat cluster like this?

If so then it's more than likely linked to Carlton and not a fastback Super Mistral (yep, they did a Fastback Mistral if memory serves but not like yours)

Back in the 60's there was so much swapping about of frames and decals it's hard to keep track, not the first Victor seat cluster frame with Holdsworth decals........

Italian was all the rage in the 60's and those pesky ornate lugs and fussy details went out of the window...
