Help choosing Marzocchi fork

Hi guys,

I've been looking for a fork for my Cinelli Rampichino for a while, and as I can't find anything rigid (as I originally wanted) I'm thinking to risk it with a suspension fork.
My choice would be Marzocchi, but I'm slightly overwhelmed by the offer and I can't reliably understand whether spare parts are still available for a given model.
I gather that Z1 is their top of the range, followed by Z2 and Z3, right?
Are spares parts, mainly seals, available for all of them?
Do these forks have a special axle nut? Or can I run my skewers, and thus my wheel?
I would like to go for an as old as possible model, which I think would suit better on my bike.

Thanks

Re:

Thanks.

And the Z3? Is it a simplified version of the Z2?
How much am I expected to pay for a Z2 in good conditions?

Re:

If going Marzocchi I’d be going for a Z2 in the lightest version possible as they quite heavy forks. A good alternative could be something like a Indy SL/Judy / pace or similar if you trying to stay light and short travel

Re:

Yes, light and short travel are two good requisites.
I was going for a rigid fork, so I definitely don't need much travel. 80mm is plenty.

I see it's possible to find old Z2 in "new" condition on eBay. Would you steer away from those?
My first thought was to buy the cheapest fork I can find and overhaul it myself, but if I was to find something that was good to go as it is....

Re:

Z2s can still be picked up reasonably cheap,I`d advise to buy the best one possible with a view to a seal and oil change, tired cheaper ones may hide a myriad of issues. The difference between a tidy one and a rough one can only be £30.They are pretty much the best shorter travel fork of the era.

Thanks.

I see there are some Z2 for sale with gaiters...the seller states they are brand new. Could it be an attempt to hide something?

Also, what is the difference between Z2 Light and Atom?

Re:

Nice!
Not many Rampichino owners.
Where are you based?

This is the only picture I have to share at the moment.
