Hello Everyone,

I just joined this nice forum and wanted to say hello.

I bought a GT RTS2 back in 1991. I really loved the RTS-1 but could not afford it. I was very happy to have the RTS-2 it took me months to save for it.

After having the RTS2 for a few months I entered a city streets race using mountain bikes. The race organizers put small ramps that the racers had to jump and you landed on concrete roads. I entered the race to impress a girl I knew at the time.

After the race (which I did ok, finished midpack) my brother noticed a small stress fracture near where the rocker is located. I think the shop may not have adjusted the rocker properly somehow because it looked like it was impacted the frame and that is where I remember the crack was. I wish now I took some pics of it but did not.

Anyways I took the bike with the cracked RTS2 frame back to the shop. GT immediately sent an RTS1 ball burnished frame and paid for the bike shop to transfer all components (all LX) to the RTS1. I was very happy and lucky. :)

I'll post some pics soon. :D
